Hurricane Katrina

In September 2005, 10 major oil spills were reported in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, resulting in more than eight million gallons of oil spilled along the Mississippi River from Chalmette to Venice to Port Fourchon. Forefront responded to seven of those ten oil spills simultaneously and Managed the primary OSROs. 75% of our client base was affected with an incident following Hurricanes Katrina/Rita. Forefront Emergency Management managed 6 of the incidents that were listed as the government's "Top 10 List".
