Case Study - Hydrochloric Acid Spill Release

South Texas — Eagleford Shale

In August 2011, the Forefront Emergency Management team was requested to respond to a 20,000 gallon hydrochloric acid spill on a well site location. Forefront remediated more than 5000 cubic yards of soil and provided transportation and disposal at a Class I landfill. All impacted equipment and debris were decontaminated. Upon receipt of acceptable analytical results, the site was backfilled and restored to its pre-spill condition.
